First of all, take a moment to read About Sarah to have a good understanding of my approach, because this is what I would love to pass on to you.
Whether you’re a beginning teacher or a seasoned coach, I work with a wide range of profiles. However, I can’t be the perfect mentor for everybody! That’s why I’ve designed an onboarding process to ensure a great fit:
Step 1: You fill out the questionnaire “Book your free Discovery call” which you’ll find at the top and bottom of this page. You introduce yourself, express your needs and ask any questions you may have. This helps me understand if I can meet your expectations.
Step 2: Based on this questionnaire, I send you a tailor-made offer via email.
Step 3: Let’s talk! We schedule a Discovery call via Zoom to get to know each other, answer more questions and determine if you’d like to proceed with booking your Intake session.
Step 4: Before the Intake Session, you fill out another questionnaire about your background and goals. We start this 2 hour long session with a conversation on that questionnaire.
In case you want to work on your teaching skills:
After the conversation, you present a client / student case with or without a recording and the questions you have. Explain your experience in the topic, the steps you’ve already taken, what has worked and what hasn’t, what you think you need, where you’re stuck,…
Make sure to respect the following rules:
- Always ask permission from your client / student if you’re going to share a recording and / or information which might disclose their identity.
- If you don’t have permission, make sure you anonymize the information you share with me and certainly DON’T share recordings.
In case you want to work on your own singing:
After the conversation, you present 2 examples:
- A (part of a) song that showcases your vocal identity and abilities. This helps me understand your comfort zone and strengths.
- A (part of a) song that showcases one or more goals and challenges you’d like to work on.
If there’s anything else you believe is important for me to see and hear, you are welcome to share it as well.
We get to work! You receive your first mentoring session in which we dive deep. You experience my way of working, I get a clear picture of who you are and what you need. At the end of the session, it’s decision time. We have an open conversation and jointly decide if we want to continue to work together towards achieving your goals.
